

Participant Directed Goods and Services
Participant-Directed Goods and Services (PDG&S) are services, equipment or supplies not otherwise provided through other services offered in this waiver, the Medical Assistance State Plan, or a responsible third party. Participant-Directed Goods and Services must address an identified need in the individual’s ISP and must achieve one or more of the following objectives:

- Decrease the need for other Medicaid services.
- Promote or maintain inclusion in the community.
- Promote the independence of the individual.
- Increase the individual’s health and safety in the home environment.
- Develop or maintain personal, social, physical or work-related skills.
The participant must be enrolled in AWC to receive this service. If there is a participant that could benefit from this service and:

- does not currently receive AWC services, please submit a referral here.
- currently receives AWC services and would like to add PDG&S, please reach out to the AWC Manager.
There are items that PDG&S cannot be used for. Please see the 01-24-2025 ISP Manual for more detailed information.
